BRUCE NAIGLES I SCULPTOR
The gallery below highlights some of Bruce's major commissions and public projects. For a more complete list of commissioned work, see CV.
Commissions come in various ways. Both public and private, they generally begin with a dialogue based on a concrete or a philosophical idea, or a synthesis of the two. They revolve around the client's wish to monumentalize or create an allegory of an individual, a group, an event or an idea/vision. These may include busts of historical or influential individuals, children and grandchildren.
Either drawings or a direct model/sketch are then created to further formulate the idea so that an agreement can be reached and the work begin. Capturing the essence, of whatever the nature of the project may be, is the goal and the work is not considered complete until those qualities become inherent in the work.
If you are interested in knowing more and would like to inquire about commissioning a sculpture or monument, contact Bruce and include a basic outline of what you have in mind and we can take it from there.
