The Muse was commissioned by Widar Salbuvik, owner of Hotell Refsnes Gods. Integrated into the architectural and natural surroundings, she stands at the portal as a welcoming figure to the home of one of Norway's largest contemporary collections of art.

The hotel houses over 400 artworks by 90+ artists.
